ComicLink is an app concept I designed – from ideation to prototype – to make comics globally available and provide people with visual impairments an accessible comic reading experience.

ComicLink was designed to accommodate visually impaired and colorblind users. All color combinations, text measurements, and iconography were meticulously fine-tuned to meet ADA requirements. View the prototype here.

To ensure visual and colorblind accessibility, extensive testing was done. The Y-Tristimulus values of all color combinations were measured. These determine the contrast and radiance that the human eye can read.

Color Testing

Increased stroke size was used to ensure visibility at further distances, while the appearance is meant to be easily recognizable but tie in to the imaginary nature of comics.
